The farm

Wine is elaborated in a construction build on 1880. Main purpose of this building was to do wine from own grapes of Heritage Ferrer de la Vall. Heritage was focused on wine, with only 2-3 Ha left as forest and 1 Ha as kitchen-garden.

From 1300 to 1800 loads of grapes were turned into 1600-2000 Hl of wine, depending on harvesting.

When grape phylloxera arrived in Piera, on 1888, most of fields were left due to economic problems and not enough working hands. Production of wine slowly gone down until 70s and 80s of XX Century, when all grapes production was sold to big cava makers of region.

Now we get back to family tradition and do wine again, limited production, doing it all by ourselves, from nurture of grapes, to harvesting, to turn it into wine, and to bottling and selling it.
